Hello. I am Dr. Atlas, a licensed clinical psychologist.If your child is struggling with anxiety, depression, social issues, ADHD, difficult behaviors, academic issues, I am here to help. I have trained in a range of settings including hospitals, schools, and private clinics. These experiences allow me to identify and implement therapy treatments that are individually-tailored to achieve the best outcome for each client.I am passionate about my work and dedicated to my clients’ growth and well being.TRAINING:
Dr. Atlas earned his Master of Arts and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University/Washington, DC specializing in working with children, adolescents, and families. He completed his clinical internship as a Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine pediatric intern at Kennedy Krieger Institute where he provided child and adolescent outpatient therapy.For six years, he practiced at The Koch Center in Waldwick, New Jersey, a leading center of dialectical behavior therapy. There he provided individual and group therapy to children and adolescents.Dr. Atlas was the Director of Student Support Services at Torah Academy of Bergen County, a private high school, where he founded the learning center and for 11 years, oversaw the support services program. He crafted 504 and comprehensive student plans and worked closely with teachers and administrators to ensure the personal and academic success of hundreds of students.He received training from the Yale Parenting Center & Child Conduct Clinic and is also a certified provider of SPACE, a cutting edge treatment of anxiety for children.He presents full day workshops on ADHD and executive functioning and is a member of the New Jersey Psychological Association, Anxiety Disorders of America, and CHAAD.
